Red
Hatters celebrate high tea
Thursday, December 23, 2004
The Nicolin Mansion was the site last Thursday for a high tea for Jordan's Red
Hat ladies.
Twenty-six local women enjoyed the afternoon, hosted by Terri and Kevin Knox, owners of the bed and breakfast.
Included on the guest list were four local women who were neighbors in the 1960s. Viv Sunder, Lorraine Deutsch, Horty Dufek and Bernice Hoffman came together for tea for the first time in over 40 years at the event. Dufek moved from Jordan to New York in 1963 and resides in Shakopee.
Among those who gathered for the celebration were Hedy Joachim, Lolly Gosewisch, Evelyn Atkins, Barb Lehnen, Monica Pink, JoAnn Post, Judy Morlock and Eileen Hoy. Serving the tea is Nicolin Inn owner Terri Knox.
The Jordan Red Hat ladies meet monthly for various activities. This is the first high tea they have celebrated locally.
