On weekend mornings, a three course gourmet candlelight breakfast is served at the grand mahogany dining table, featuring full flavors and decadent dessert.  Breakfast served in the privacy of your room is always available upon request. Midweek, Sunday through Thursday night, a deluxe breakfast buffet is presented in the dining room from 8:00 until 10:00 the next morning .

During your stay, the double parlor, porches and courtyard are available for your enjoyment.  Read a book from our library bookcase...watch a movie from our video collection or satellite television...play the parlor piano...rest in the courtyard on a garden bench beside the pond and fountain...relax on the front porch swing or wicker rocker.  Your innkeepers can direct you on several leisurely walks to antique shoppes, cafes, and city parks with gardens, millpond and waterfall.  We can also direct you to many nearby attractions within a short driving distance.

Stately Luxury

 

Your stately green room features a king size four poster bed. Rest in a leather chair beside the fire in the classic library inspired room under the coffered ceiling surrounded by cherry paneled wainscoting. Your private bathroom includes a whirlpool tub with shower and waterfall spout flowing from the stone wall, reminiscent of a chateau winery. Conveniently located on the first floor Additional conveniences include an antique secretary and closet with cedar hangers.

Majestic Elegance

 

Your elegant deep crimson and gold room features a king size four poster bed and Victorian cast trim fireplace. Step up into the turret and relax with a book, glass of wine or morning breakfast in your room. Your private bathroom includes a double whirlpool tub with shower surrounded in tumbled marble and a copper vessel sink on an antique commode, creating your own vintage spa experience. Additional conveniences include an antique dresser and closet with cedar hangers.

Your green toile room surrounded in fabric covered walls features a queen size bed with a half-tester canopy and fireplace. Envelop your senses in the curtained bay window seat with the sights and sounds of the courtyard and garden ponds below.  Your private bathroom includes the mansion's original marble sink and a corner whirlpool tub with hand-held shower to soothe your cares away. Additional conveniences include an antique highboy dresser, vanity with bench and closet with cedar hangers.

Hollywood Deco

 

Take a trip back to Old Hollywood. The Golden Age of film, where Marlene Dietrich, Claudette Colbert, Clark Gable and Cary Grant ruled the Silver Screen. Your art deco inspired room features a satin covered queen size bed within a black surround showcasing period art. Gaze on the original "Mertz Room" sign above the tres art deco three step design fireplace.  Your private tiled bathroom includes a standing rain shower with massaging body jets. Reservations:

  • For reservations, a $45 non-refundable deposit is required, which can be paid by credit card using either the "Make a Reservation" link on the side bar or by calling the inn at 952-492-6441, or paid by personal check and mailed to the inn. The deposit will be applied towards room balance.

  • Prices are based on double occupancy.  

  • Maximum 3 guests, per select rooms, $15.00 per additional guest, portable crib or air bed available.

Cancellations:

  • Deposit will be forfeited is reservation is cancelled.

  • Deposit can be applied to another reservation date.

Considerations:

  • Nicolin Mansion is a smoke-free and pet-free inn.  Smoking permitted outside on porches and courtyard.

  • Children are welcome with advance arrangements to accommodate their needs and the comfort of other guests.
